From my most popular taper, I derived a 3 weight line rod . To provide the angler with a lower cost option, the rod is finished with a hand rubbed urethane rather than the 6 coats of varnish used on my standard rods, Perfection snake guides rather than Hopkins and Holloway and the reel seat is Nickel Silver split rings saving both time and materials. The rod is provide with a aluminum case and rod bag but no over bag.. The resultant savings in time and materials is passed along to the customer.
